The FMF Campus welcomes the first business accelerator in Europe dedicated to the circular economy
The number of innovative companies that animate the Free Mind Foundry Campus continues to grow, this time selected as the new Sicilian base by Orangelab, the first European business accelerator active in the world of the circular economy.
Orangelab's multidisciplinary team is made up of visionaries with extensive experience in the startup/SME segment, entrepreneurs, business consultants expert in the fintech sector and investors united by a single mission: to contribute to the sustainable development of our country through the transition towards the circular economy.
In order to accelerate the growth process of medium-small companies that have already embraced the circular philosophy and maximize the creation of value of medium-large companies, corporates and industrial groups, the company has developed a portfolio of tailor-made services that is unique in Italy for its completeness and innovation. Thanks to collaborative relationships with leading international investment funds, OrangeLab offers client companies a structured and personalized path. The experience gained by the team in the crowdfunding field is, in fact, unique at a national level.
The 12-month acceleration program makes Orangelab the main Italian ecosystem in the world of the circular economy, thanks to a range of services offered that ranges from online and offline capital raising tools, to strategic consultancy and support in extraordinary Open Innovation, M&A and listing operations, to meet the needs of startups and SMEs, private and institutional investors and large corporations. Orangelab also boasts an acceleration path specifically dedicated to fundraising, through which it supports companies in seeking capital, with particular regard to: advisory services for funding activities and strategic actions aimed at strengthening the business, and corporate services for the development of innovative products and technologies.
Italy has made significant progress in the circular economy, becoming one of the leading countries in the green revolution. There are over 432,000 Italian industrial and service companies that have invested, in the five-year period 2015 - 2019, in green products and technologies.
Driven by recent community policies regarding the circular economy, and at the same time to support competitiveness on international markets, in the coming years Italy will also have to profoundly change its production and consumption system in order to convert the current linear model into a circular one. It is a prerequisite that will bring significant benefits on various fronts: for companies, for those who use the products, for the environment and for social cohesion.
